Is a Third Vaccine Needed?

With the resurgence of COVID-19, and the emergence of particularly contagious variants such as Delta and Delta Plus, Israelis are asking whether there is a need for a third vaccine. Prof. Cyrille Cohen, an immunity expert at BIU’s Goodman Faculty of Life Sciences and a member of the Advisory Committee for Clinical Trials on Vaccines at the Israel Ministry of Health, believes that it’s too early to determine whether a third booster shot is necessary.

The 29th Annual Conference of the Research Institute of Human Factors in Road Safety, in cooperation with the Bar-Ilan Center for Smart Cities, was held online on Thursday, July 8.  Researchers in the areas of road safety and smart cities, Israeli Knesset members, judges, academicians, public activists, and people from the industry took part in the conference.

Bar-Ilan University warmly welcomes 26 undergraduate students from the United States and Argentina who are participating in the tenth annual Summer Science Research Internship Program. A joint Bar-Ilan University/Yeshiva University initiative, the program enables students to gain hand-on experience in emerging scientific fields while being mentored by Israel's finest scientists.

On Sunday, July 4, the 2021 spring semester exam period will begin. All exams will be held on campus, except in a few exceptional cases where students received prior notice from their departments.
