Prof. Jacob Bornstein, of the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Lower Genital Tract Disease. The appointment was recently announced by ASCCP, improving lives through the prevention and treatment of anogenital and HPV-related diseases, which publishes the journal.
Bar-Ilan University’s sonochemical coating technology has been named one of the Top 10 Emerging Technologies in Chemistry by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). Congratulations to Bar-Ilan University’s Faculty of Education, which has changed its status from a school to a faculty. Today, more than 2,300 students are enrolled at BIU’s Faculty of Education, in more than 30 undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs, teaching certificate studies and professional development. More than 130 students are working on their doctoral dissertations and more than 400 on their master’s theses.

A new exhibit of student works, “Diverse Dialogue”, initiated by the BIU Dean of Students and the “Tikva Israel in Academy”, opened on Monday, October 25, 2021 in the Naomi and Izzy Leibler Exhibition Hall at the Wurzweiler Central Library, Building 401. The exhibition will be on display through January 3, 2022 during library hours.

An Israeli nation-wide study of more than 600,000 births, led by a researcher at Bar-Ilan University's Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, reveals consistent links between high and low temperatures and low fetal birth weight, particularly exposure to heat during the second and third trimesters.
Torah & Pizza, BIU's popular Sunday evening Beit Midrash for English Speaking Students, hosts each week an engaging guest lecturer who explores an exciting topic. Limud is held at 7:30 pm, followed by a Shiur at 8:00 pm.
