Community Translation Course

Course participants receive 3 academic credits.
The Community Translation Course is an experiential course, designed for students who are fluent in Hebrew and another language. The course provides knowledge on such topics as intercultural communication, translation skills, professional terminology in Hebrew and the second language, professional ethics and interpersonal communication skills.
The course includes 4 hours of volunteering each week in a public institution (e.g.,welfare department, prison, the National Insurance Institute, a hospital, family care center) as well as experience in oral translation in the field. Placement in volunteer frameworks is done in coordination with students, taking into account their preferences. For more details and to arrange a registration interview, contact: [email protected]
