The Israel Association of International Studies recognized Prof. Eytan Gilboa of the Bar-Ilan University School of Communication in the Department of Political Studies with a Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions to research in international relations in Israel and abroad.
Prof. Gilboa founded and headed the School of Communication and the Center for International Communication at Bar-Ilan. He is one of the world’s leading scholars in the areas of international communication and US-Israel relations.
Prof. Popovtzer, of Bar-Ilan University’s Kofkin Faculty of Engineering and the university’s Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, designed insulin-coated gold nanoparticles to serve as a novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) nanoplatform. The Golden-ADC nanoplatform overcomes crucial challenges of existing ADCs, through its simple design, straightforward binding of multiple drugs and antibodies, and its ability to surmount biological barriers, which greatly improves the delivery of the drug to the tumor.
Bar-Ilan University granted 13M NIS to 2,700 students as part of the Academic Armor initiative to support reservists, their spouses, and evacuees. 2,500 of the scholarship recipients are reservists, and 200 are evacuees from the North and South.
