IVS Webinar on Reinventing Batteries
BIU Prof. Doron Aurbach moderated lecture of Stanford Prof. Yi Cui
This year’s Israel Vacuum Society Webinar Series commenced on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 16:00 (Israel time) with a lecture, “Reinventing Batteries Through Materials Design”, by Prof. Yi Cui, a distinguished materials science and engineering researcher from Stanford University. The lecture was moderated by the world-renowned scientist, Prof. Doron Aurbach, of Bar-Ilan University’s Department of Chemistry.
The IVS Webinar Series will feature each month a top scientist who will introduce a topic of general interest in the field, present the most relevant research results, and offer an outlook on future research directions and applications.
Prof. Gilbert Daniel Nessim, who heads Bar-Ilan University’s Nanosynthesis Lab, presides over the Israel Vacuum Society, which aims to promote and stimulate professional interconnections and communication among Israeli scientists specializing in the areas of surface science, thin films, and vacuum science and to foster educational activities in these areas at various scientific levels.
