The Lou Gonda Listening Ear Garden

The ear shaped garden is located between the Webb Psychology building and the Gonda Brain Research Center building. The architectural elements in the garden -  the curves imitating a human ear, the layered terraces leading to an internal vegetation center, the cypress planted on the other side, the balcony overlooking the structure from above, and the canopy casting a puzzle shaped shade on the ground, all illustrate the academic principles upon which the two realms of knowledge are founded.
